1. What can I expect to see when I tour Encompass Early Education and Care, Inc.?
Encompass Early Education and Care has been in the business of providing quality child care for over 90 years. 2. Do you have a Preschool Program?
Yes, Encompass incorporates developmentally appropriate preschool programming in all of its activities. The High Scope Curriculum is a research based international curriculum designed for infants through school age.


3. What types of care options are available?
Full-time, Prime-time, Flexible, Daily, Drop-in, Summer ExplorersCamp S'more and Summer Discoveries.

4. Are meals provided?
Yes, breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided each day. Infant formula, iron-fortified cereal and baby food is provided for infants under the age of 1 year. Parents receive a monthly menu and any changes are posted daily.

5. May we come visit our child?
Parents are welcome visitors in the program at any time. We often encourage parents to join in the activities that your child participates in daily.

6. Do you provide transportation to and/or from school?
Transportation is provided at some locations. Please contact individual centers regarding availability and cost. 

   

   

7. Do you provide summer care?
 
Encompass is open year round and provides a recreational school age program for children 5 thru 11 years of age.  The programs are called Summer Explorers and Camp S'more  and they are in session from June through August.

8. What if I can't afford the cost of child care?
Encompass can provide care for children of all economic backgrounds.  Our staff is very familiar with a variety of programs available to us, such as WI Shares.  If you are interested in enrolling your child here, we will work with you to find resources.


9. What happens if my child is sick?
Our first concern is to provide appropriate care for your child. Current Wisconsin child care regulations guide us in our care and we will review our policies with you.  Parents are called when necessary and, in some cases, they may be required to pick up their child.  This helps protect others in our care.  

10. How do I know what quality care is?
The best way is to check around, ask questions, and observe.  We can provide you with a list of items to review.  These include:

  • National Accreditation from NAEYC
  • Clean environments
  • Appropriately trained staff
  • Interactions between children and teachers
  • Happy children
  • Nutritious, well-balanced meals
  • Curriculum that matches children's ages and development
  • Variety of toys, books and activities that match children's needs
  • Separate areas for different age groups
